November Members Only Image Comp
There is no better way to grow as a professional photographic artist than by entering judged competitions. Metro PPA hosts a free themed photographic print competition for its members every month except February and December .You will receive input on your images in a friendly, supportive environment from guest judges, master photographers and other members alike to help you hone your photographic and competition skills.
Competitions will be held at each regularly schedule monthly meeting and each member can enter up to (2) two images per month. Images will be printed on site as an 8x10 and go home with their makers.
November theme: OPEN Member Choice
Novembers theme is members choice. Architectural, Landscape, Artist, or Sports, pick your favorite images to enter this month.

Architectural photography, buildings or structures, interior or exterior that are dynamic images of architecture or architectural details.
Commercial images are images used to sell, market, promote or advertise a product, service, or person(s).

Family/group portrait is at least (3) individuals and through photographic and posing technics, highlights the relationship between the people in it.

August theme: Commercial/Architectural

Illustrative: Capturing the beauty of nature, wildlife, industry, and architectural areas are considered illustrative.
Commercial/Architectural: This sub-category is used when images are created for a commercial client to advertise a product and promote a brand or company. This can be an interior or exterior of a structure or within an industrial environment.
Architectural photography are images of buildings and similar architectural structures that are both aesthetically pleasing and accurate in terms of representations of their subjects
July Members Only Image Comp

Metro PPA hosts a free themed photographic print competition for its members every month except February and December .You will receive input on your images in a friendly, supportive environment from guest judges, master photographers and other members alike to help you hone your photographic and competition skills.
Competitions will be held at each regularly schedule monthly meeting and each member can enter up to (2) two images per month. Images will be printed on-site using a DNP-DS 8020 dye-sublimation photo printer. Images should have no watermark or makers name and renamed with the image title as a jpeg. Bring your print ready images sized to 3000 pixels on the longest side and cropped to an 8x10.
Metro PPA will print them and register you for the competition. You can sit back, enjoy the program and join the fun.
The monthly guest speaker will judge the images and award ribbons. All prints will go home with their makers courtesy of Metro and entrees can earn points towards your fellowship with Metro PPA. After the meeting the images go home with their makers.
July theme: Sport/Event
The Action/Event images are candid images that capture the peak motion of the moment taken in an event-type setting. For example, an action shot captured at a sporting event, an image of the first dance from a wedding, images taken during a concert, etc.
