Metro PPA, founded in 1985, has been an active and growing affiliate of the Professional Photographers of America for over 35 years. Our mission is to provide the best networking and educational opportunities for local professional and aspiring photographers. Existing to help our members achieve their professional and artistic goals, we provide networking opportunities and increase the social awareness of the photography industry through community outreach and educational endeavors.

We welcome all who have an interest in the field of photography regardless of their level of experience. Working and learning together, we strive to make the industry the best it can be.

Our regularly scheduled meetings are on the second calendar Monday of every month and feature speakers covering new techniques, technologies, and ideas that help our members learn and grow. We also host a monthly themed, members only, physical Print Competition and have several CE Workshops featuring nationally recognized speakers scheduled throughout the year. Every meeting offers opportunities to learn something new and innovative.

We finish the year with our annual Holiday Party and Awards Banquet where we recognize our member's achievements and have an image print raffle and enjoy an evening of fun and fellowship.

Speaking of fellowship, Thirsty Thursday is a social gathering held on the first calendar Thursday of every month. This event is strictly social and gives everyone the opportunity to network and fellowship with other photographers.
