Jose Yau, M.Photog, Cr.
A native of Panama City, Panama, Jose Yau has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Newman University (1991), Wichita, KS. Bachelor of Science in Cytology degree from Berkshire Medical Center, Pittsfield, MA, affiliated with the University of Massachusetts (1994). He received his degree in photography from the New York Institute of Photography with a specialty in photojournalism and opened Jose’s Photography in 2002. With 20 years of experience, Jose offers portraits for families/children/graduating seniors/brides in addition to commercial and sports photography.

Resided in Texas for 25 years, now in Pennsylvania since September 2020 where he practices as a Cytologist at Guthrie hospital. Jose continues freelance services to the Associated Press with the North Atlantic Area and New England Area and The Waco Tribune Herald.
In 2008 two of his images made the PPA General Collection, which where exhibit at the IUSA 2009 in Phoenix, Arizona.
In 2010 One of his images made the PPA General Collection and two of his images made the PPA Loan collection, which where exhibited at the IUSA 2011 in San Antonio, Texas.

The Waco Tribune Herald, Associated Press, The Dallas Morning News, and numerous medical and commercial publications have published many of his images. Several of Jose’s sports images have been published in the award-winning 2010, 2011 PPA (Professional Photographer of America) Loan Collection Book.
Served as president (HOTPPG) Heart of Texas Professional Photographer Guild in Waco Texas for the years 2005 and 2006.
An active member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America), SWPPA (Southwest Professional Photographers Association) and TPPA (Texas Professional Photographers Association.
